Carter Brothers Roof Repair

RESEARCH-BASED REVIEW, NOT A FIRST-HAND VISIT. Everything below comes from the public sources listed at the end, accessed on 2026-10-11. No one from Peachtree City Guide has hired this company or contacted it. Workmanship scores are provisional.

Licensing for roofing: Georgia has no state roofing license. Re-roofing of existing structures is a Limited Service Specialty: within that scope a roofer does not need a GA residential or general contractor license (https://sos.ga.gov/page/limited-service-specialty-contractors-policy-statements; O.C.G.A. § 43-41-17). Work outside the specialty, such as structural framing, additions or other non-roofing work on a residential job over $2,500, can need a residential or general contractor license (O.C.G.A. § 43-41-2; check at https://verify.sos.ga.gov/verification/, where our automated lookup was blocked by a bot check). Manufacturer certifications (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Atlas) are not licenses. We mark them verified only when we read them on the manufacturer’s locator. Always ask for certificates of general liability and workers’ comp insurance, written workmanship and manufacturer warranty terms (registered in your name), and who pulls any permit.

Scorecard

Quick facts

• Address: 277 GA-74, Peachtree City 30269 (site, Exa). Phone (470) 260-7111 (site).
• Site advertises emergency roof repair.

The short version

• Ratings: Exa Places 4.8 from 47 reviews.
• Caveat: all 8 sampled reviews are 5★ and dated 2025-11-25 to 2025-12-25, several with similar wording (“in Peachtree City”). That pattern can come from a review drive; we can’t tell, so Reputation is scored more cautiously.
• BBB: no profile found.
• Other platforms & recent reviews: No other platform data found; a Nextdoor page exists but showed no recommendations.

What customers say (themes)

• Named staff praised for explanations; on-time crews; clean-up; repeat customers for multiple roofs.
• Hail and wind repairs, skylights, decking replacement.
• Limitation: we read only the recent reviews visible on each aggregator page (Exa’s Google-derived snapshot shows about 8 per business) and Nextdoor recommendation text. We did not open Google, Yelp, Angi or Facebook directly, and rating counts differ between platforms.
• Recent reviews (last 24 months, n=8): most-mentioned compliments: quality work (5), fast / same-day (4), on time / punctual (3); complaints: none. Other platforms are covered in “Other review platforms” below.

Credentials & red-flag check

• ⚠️ Review burst: 8 of 8 sampled reviews within 30 days (Nov–Dec 2025).

Pricing, warranty & value

No prices or warranty terms published. One reviewer says its price was the best of several estimates (2025-11). Ask for written warranty and insurance certificates.

Other review platforms (checked 2026-10-11)

No profile found, or blocked by a bot check: BBB, Birdeye, Yelp, Houzz, Angi. We did not get around any bot check. Yelp, Angi/HomeAdvisor, Houzz and BBB profile pages blocked automated access, and Facebook requires a login; values from those sites are search snippets labeled unconfirmed and never move a score.

Score breakdown (rubric §5.12 in site-plan.md)

The listed weights cover 90% of the score and recent customer experience (keyword analysis) covers the other 10%. Research-based scores cap at 9.0. See /how-we-score/. | Criterion | Weight | Score | Evidence | |—|—|—|—| | Credentials, licensing & insurance | 20% | 5 | “Licensed, bonded, insured” claim only | | Reputation | 25% | 7 | 4.8 / 47 (Exa); −1 for review burst (8 sampled reviews within 30 days = 17% of all reviews) | | Complaint handling | 15% | 5 | No BBB profile (not verified) | | Pricing & contract transparency | 15% | 5 | Nothing published (not verified) | | Responsiveness & availability | 10% | 7 | Emergency repair advertised; reviews: quick replies | | Warranty / guarantees | 10% | 5 | None published (not verified) | | Longevity & local presence | 5% | 5 | Years in business not stated | | Recent customer experience (keyword analysis, last 24 months) | 10% | 8.7 | n=8 recent reviews (Exa Places (Google-derived)); 28 positive vs 0 negative theme mentions | | Overall | | 6.0 | 0.9 × 5.70 (weighted average of the rows above, using their listed weights) + 0.1 × 8.7 = 6.00 |

Bottom line

Glowing recent reviews, but they arrived in one short burst and there is little else to check. Treat as unproven; get insurance certificates and a written warranty.
