City Government

Utilities

• Water: Fayette County Water System, 770-461-1146. The county also sets up and bills sewer accounts.
• Sewer: Peachtree City Water & Sewerage Authority, 1127 Hwy 74 S. 770-487-7993. After hours: 678-300-0196.
• Power: According to the city’s resource directory, Georgia Power (888-660-5890) generally serves areas north of GA Hwy 54, and Coweta-Fayette EMC (770-502-0226; office at 103 Sumner Rd., Fayetteville) generally serves areas south of it. Confirm with either company using your address.
• Natural gas: In Atlanta Gas Light territory, you buy gas from a PSC-certified marketer, and Atlanta Gas Light owns and runs the pipes. Tips: Selecting a Natural Gas Marketer (Georgia PSC). Coweta-Fayette EMC also sells natural gas through True Natural Gas.
• Trash & recycling: The city does not run trash service. Pick one of the approved haulers: Pollard (770-599-1811), Republic Services (404-693-9200), or GFL Environmental (770-474-9273). Recycling is included in the base rate.

Golf Cart Registration

Register a new cart in person at City Hall within 10 days of purchase. You’ll need the registration form, proof of ownership, a photo ID, and the fee. Details: Paths & Motorized Carts. See also our Golf Carts guide.
