Safety Tips

  • Keep right, pass on the left, and give pedestrians and cyclists room.
  • Slow down at tunnels, bridges, and blind curves. Before leaving a path to enter or cross a road, you must stop as if there were a stop sign and yield to traffic (Sec. 78-93(m)).
  • Carts may not be driven on sidewalks, or on or across Highway 74, Highway 54, Peachtree Parkway, and other listed major roads except at designated crossings. See Sec. 78-93(i) for the full list.
  • Carts may run only in daylight unless they have working headlights and taillights. Any vehicle on the paths after dark must use headlights and taillights (Sec. 78-93(h), (n)).
  • Drivers and passengers must stay seated, and no one may sit on the driver’s lap (Sec. 78-93(l)).
  • Never drive impaired.
  • Think about getting golf cart insurance.
  • Supervise young drivers and follow the age rules above.
